Masinde Muliro University of Science and Technology (MMUST) has been selected to represent Kenya at the prestigious International Innovation Academy, scheduled to take place in St. Petersburg, Russia, from 20th November to 1st December, 2024. The Academy, which will involve 15000 participants from across the globe will bring together top innovators, entrepreneurs, and thought leaders including astronauts from space. The International Innovation Academy will  provide a unique platform for the MMUST team to network, learn, and exchange ideas with global innovators, further positioning the University as a leader in innovation and technological advancement. 

Two (2) students pursuing a Bachelor of Science Degree in Hospitality and Institution Management at Masinde Muliro University of Science and Technology have experienced the global tourism industry, courtesy of the Erasmus+ program. Brian Nyatogo Nyaucho and Evangeline Kemboi Jerotich visited Croatia for six months, where they studied at the University of Rijeka- Faculty of Tourism and Hospitality Management, while doing an internship at the Hilton Rijeka Costabella Beach Resort & Spa.

The MMUST- National Defence University of Kenya collaborative agreement is set to bolster teaching and community service in Kenya. On 20th August, 2024 the two institutions signed a Collaborative Agreement (CA) in Lanet, Nakuru County. The signing ceremony was presided over by the MMUST Vice Chancellor Prof. Solomon Shibairo and the NDU-K Vice Chancellor Lieutenant General Jimson Mutai.

Masinde Muliro University of Science and Technology (MMUST) is poised to enter a collaborative agreement with a consortium comprising of Kerith Brook Educational Centre (KBEC), Bondo Community Development Programme (BCDP), We Reach (WREACH), and Businde Passion Nursery Farmers School (BUSINDE). On 8th August 2024, representatives from these organizations met with the MMUST team to discuss the possibility of working together on a number of projects and programmes, including Research, Innovation and Development; Training and Capacity Building; Extension and Outreach; Consultancy; Knowledge Management; Resource Mobilization; Policy and Advocacy; and Corporate Social Responsibility.

Masinde Muliro University of Science and Technology has been selected among the ten (10) Universities in Kenya earmarked for the Constitution and Reform Education Consortium (CRECO) ‘Vijana Tuchanuke’- Youth Let’s Wise Up project. On Tuesday, 23rd July, 2024, a team from CRECO, led by the Executive Director-Mr. Joshua Changwony, visited the University to discuss the activities under this project, which include empowering the youth to navigate the digital landscape effectively, particularly in identifying and countering misinformation and fake news. The guests were received by the Director of Corporate Communications and Marketing (DCCM), Dr. Lydia Anyonje, who was flanked by the Director of International Relations and Academic Linkages (DIAL), Dr. Umulkher Ali and the Dean-School of Computing and Informatics (SCI), Dr. Daniel Otanga.
